His books A New Earthand the Power of Now provided me with mindset and insight that supported (and still supports) me in getting out of my way and out of my comfort zone.
3) Dale Carnegie
At the start of my business his book How To Win Friends And Influence Peoplehelped me see how important it was to build relationships and the value of relationships in having longevity in my career.
4) Henry Fullerton
My father was my first mentor. He exposed me to the world of entrepreneurship and instilled confidence in me to take this path.
5) Mary Toppmeyer and Barbara Lindberg
They fostered my love and passion for research that was the perfect outgrowth of my innate curiosity. They also taught me the power of storytelling and bringing life to the information gathering process.
6) David Dowd
He introduced me to the notion of freedom and experiencing ease, regardless of circumstances. He inspired me to explore this in my own life and the lives of others, leading to co-authoring my first book.
7) Ivy Slater
At Slater Success Coaching, she provided three meaningful and practical views that have transformed my relationship to my business: 1) No – not now, not yet 2) Focus on building relationships and 3) Reframing sales calls to “sails” calls. This last view in particular has shifted my views about making calls and having conversations.
